Tomoo Hamada (Web Pottery )

This is a pottery made by Tomoo Hamada, representative of "Hamada Kiln" in Mashiko Town. It is an attractive vessel with a heavy hog pattern and painting. This time, we have featured red-painted, salt-glazed mugs, and teacups.

Born in Mashiko Town in 1967 as the son of Shinsaku Hamada and grandson of Shoji Hamada.
1991 Completed Tama Art Graduate School of Fine Arts
In 2001, he held a solo exhibition at the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store , and has since held exhibitions, lectures, and ceramics workshops at museums, universities, ceramics facilities, department stores, galleries, embassies, etc. all over the country and around the world. Director of the Shoji Hamada Memorial Mashiko Reference Museum (public interest incorporated foundation) and representative of Hamada Kiln Co., Ltd.
